Marianne J. Charles is a founding partner of Charles & Boni-Vendola, LLC.  She has been practicing law in Connecticut since 1990. Attorney Charles is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she earned her B.A. in political science. Marianne went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law.  She is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut, New York and U.S. District Court in Connecticut.

Attorney Charles handles all aspects of matrimonial and family law including sophisticated financial matters; property division; spousal maintenance; child support; complex custody disputes and pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements as well as post judgment matters. 

Attorney Charles is a certified mediator has been appointed as Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney for Minor Children.  Additionally, she has served as a Special Master to the Courts aiding in the settlement of high conflict divorce cases.  Attorney Charles enjoys giving back to the community by accepting appointments as a pro bono attorney on behalf of Connecticut Legal Services.

Attorney Charles is a member of the Connecticut and New York Bar Associations as well as Fairfield County and Greenwich Bar Associations.   


Corrine Boni-VendolaCorrine A. Boni-Vendola is a founding partner of Charles & Boni-Vendola, LLC.  She has been practicing law since 1997.  Attorney Boni-Vendola is a graduate of Boston University, where she earned a B.A. in political science.  Corrine went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover where she graduated cum laude and served two years on the Law Review.  Attorney Boni-Vendola is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut, Massachusetts and U.S. District Court in Connecticut. 

Attorney Boni-Vendola has handled complex family law matters including all aspects of divorce and legal separation; division of property and business assets; negotiation and preparation of pre-nuptial and post nuptial custody disputes; and, child support.  Additionally she has both prosecuted and defended restraining orders; represented parties in paternity matters, third party custody actions and post-judgment matters.  Attorney Boni-Vendola has been appointed by many local courts as Guardian or Attorney for the Minor Children. Attorney Boni-Vendola has served as a Special Master for the Family Court, mediating high conflict divorce cases.

Attorney Boni-Vendola is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar Associations, New Haven County Bar Association and the New Haven County Family Law Committee.  She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the New Haven County Bar Association.


Nicole Rivieccio Crocco, an associate in the firm’s New Haven office, is primarily a family law attorney who practices in the areas of divorce, custody and visitation. Attorney Crocco also practices in the areas of personal injury as court appointed committee with regard to foreclosure matters.

Attorney Crocco graduated from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Science. While attending Gettysburg College, she interned at the United Nations as well as the political talk show, ‘The McLaughlin Group’ in Washington, D.C. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003. Attorney Crocco has been with the firm since May 2007.

Attorney Crocco is an active member of the New Haven County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. She is Co-Chair of the New Haven Women’s Section of the New Haven County Bar Association as well as a committee member of the Family Law Section.


Charles and Boni-Vendola Law - S. Ben Brightwell

S. Ben Brightwell joined the firm as counsel in April of 2015.  Mr. Brightwell practices in the area of family law.  He has broad experience through all stages of matrimonial litigation, including initiation, settlement negotiations and trial.  Mr. Brightwell earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Western Washington University in 1999.  He earned his juris doctorat from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005.   During law school, Mr. Brightwell was a member of the Moot Court team that won the National Family Law competition.   In 2013 and 2014, Mr. Brightwell was named a Connecticut “Rising Star” in the field of family law. 

Mr. Brightwell is a member of the bar in Connecticut and New York.  His practice includes divorce, custody, visitation, child support, post judgment modifications, and civil union issues.

Marybeth DarcyMarybeth Darcy has been a paralegal for over twenty-five (25) years. Marybeth began as a legal assistant to the Supreme Court Judicial Candidate Walter G. Steindler and the Hon. Floyd Sarisohn (Ret. NY) at the firm Sarishon, Sarishon, Carner, Steindler, LeBow and Braun. She earned her paralegal certification through the New York State Bar Paralegal Program while simultaneously attending the State University of New York at Stony Brook concentrating her studies in American History.

Marybeth continued her career when relocating to Connecticut in 1995. She has concentrated her efforts in the area of Family Law. She has been affiliated with Charles & Boni- Vendola, LLC for seven years.
